Deadly Ponies have moved themselves into the newest, chicest part of Ponsonby Road.  Mackelvie Street is the home of Eugenie, The Shelter and a plethora of new stores having opened in the last few weeks including the new M.A.C. store, BLAKCHAOS, Lonely, and more besides.

Tucked across from Eugenie, the small converted villa (originally Gary Nash’s glass studio) feels like a bit of a discovery. With the interior designed by Katie Lockheart, the space is filled with large wooden ‘totems’ that give the space some structure and definition. Made from raw wood, they look like they could have been carved with a chainsaw. The rawness of the timber, with the wooden floors let the bags in their block colours shine.

With the gorgeous new Crocoscope with its tactile cord embossed leather in classic black and holographic – there is plenty to love about the new store and also IN the new store. I NEED the Mr Croc Wallet- but would also happily settle for the Mr Nestor Croc or the Tuck N Croc. If anyone could just relay this snippet of information to my Long Suffering Husband with Christmas coming, I would greatly appreciate it…

*NB The beautiful, and colorful key rings have to be the most perfect stocking filler I have ever seen! Somehow I managed to get a black one…
