optical illusion

For those of us who wear glasses, not just sunglasses but also optical frames, the choices are wide and varied. And important. am not one to wear alot of jewellery, and I like to think that the way a dress is fairly understated (I know there are those that would disagree) but getting frames that are right for me, is usually a long and difficult process. Often because there is just so much to choose from…
So I have put together a post with all my favourites at the moment, both sunglasses and opticals, at varying prices to suit most budgets. Read on…
I have been lusting over these glasses at Children of Vision for a while now. Made by COLAB, they are indeed a collaboration between them and iconic jeweler and illustrator. Elke Krammer. There are only 1000 pairs of these individually number glasses in the world and they retail for $360. They still may have to be mine…
At the lower end of the budget, these are my Sharp Brow Sunnies from MAX that I have been wearing all summer. MAX kindly sent me a pair to test drive and have survived being lost in my car for several days, regularly lost at the bottom of my bag, worn to a weekend music festival and just the general hard time I give all my glasses (that often don’t survive the summer). They are actually on sale now and are just $19 *Actually my pair didn’t survive – I actually lost them somewhere between Ohope Beach and Taupo, and then went and bought another pair – so this is pair number two
The glasses above are my optical glasses. And they are white. Rather startling isn’t it? They are incredible light to wear and are my absolute favourites at the moment. This is not my original pair either. My first pair got left on the plane on the way to San Fransisco last year. Hmmm… bit of a pattern here really!? From Specsavers, they are $369 including frames. The ones below are also Specsavers and the same price.
The Daughter was given (as were both the pairs above) some great Tommy Hilfiger sunglasses by Specsavers… she has worn them all summer…
AGE EYEWEAR is the brainchild of designer Hollie Reedy and is available at The Keep on K Road. The pair below are the Bagel in Milky Tort and they retail for $249. We have a post coming up on the entire collection, but in the meantime, find stockists here.
Here are some of my favourite frames coming from Sunglass Hut (the Prada, Burberry D&G and the Coach pairs) and OPSM ( the Ray-Bans) for the coming wintery season… I LOVE the Prada ones… Find stockists OPSM 0800 444 539
