juliette hogan – lose yourself w2014

Juliette Hogan filled Hopetoun Alpha on Wednesday night with a capacity crowd of friends, fans and media. This collection heralds a new ‘confident’ Juliette Hogan with less of an emphasis on the feminine, and a more masculine silhouette.  With stronger more tailored lines, and the simplest of palettes there was a completely uncomplicated air about things. With the models looking like they had the lightest of brushes with makeup under the direction of Josie Wignall Senior Makeup Artist and the team from M.A.C. and hair that was ‘barely done’ by Lauren Gunn and her team from Stephen Marr.  The venue, with its beautiful interior perfectly fitted the aesthetic for the evening.

We loved the leather sheath dress, and the floor length hemlines in dresses and skirts.  We particularly loved the deep red lace floor-length dress. With florals, a perfect bomber jacket, and the most gorgeous slouched pants, there was plenty to admire.  We loved the hint of sequins, the forest green wool coat and the ‘fresh from the box’ styling of the Converse Hi Top Chuck Taylors in white and in black.

Loved the short film by husband and wife team of Rachel Morton and Todd Bilton with the beautiful Ngahuia Williams, with the soundtrack by Kerretta. Our black sand beaches never looked so good…

Everything during the evening was done beautifully, and had us longing for winter 2014…
