Surface too Deep is just the perfect balance between glamour and practicality.  Beautiful patterns and designs matched with gorgeous high-waisted bottoms and wide strapped bikini tops. With summer just around the corner, and hint of  sun over the last few days, our minds are turning to all things summer-related. I loved all the small detailing on the swimwear – a tiny looped cutaway at the back of the bikini pants, the cutout on the front of the one pieces, buckling on the front of the pants, and the elasticated trim on the legs.

With three gorgeous, unique fabric designs – Wellington-based Surface Too Deep designer Sarah-Jane Abraham continues to make simple, stylish swimwear with thoughtful detailing in the wider straps, high-waisted pant. I know I have mentioned both before – but they seem like such a no-brainer in terms of practicality, but so often overlooked. The black one piece is a sexy yet discreet number, again with the wider straps and perfect leg-line. With a pretty pink floral and blues as well – and a wide smile on their faces, the models really did look like they were having a fabulous time. After several days of straight-faced models, it was a joy to see wide grins and bright summery colours. You also couldn’t miss the bright orange nails painted in ORLY’s Orange Sorbet.  The Freedom strappy sandals were by Chaos and Harmony and they were another thoughtful (in orange, turquoise and copper) jolt of summer colour.
