audi fashion show 2013

The Nathan Club, Britomart was standing room only last week, with TK Store, Moochi and Taylor showing their upcoming summer collections for 2013/14. Timed to also celebrate the upcoming release of the new Audi A3, there was a bit of joking that Audi’s backing of yachting and car racing may be slightly misplaced with all the fashion-fabulous women (who make their own choices about what cars they drive) in one room…
Turet Knuefermann’s TK Store kicked things off in her signature slick and classic way. Her clothes have an effortless look about them, while being very wearable. This summers New York New York collection is no different with silk maxi dresses, beautifully cut pants (she really knows how to tailor pants) and resort-ready kaftans. The colours are also classic with fiery reds, fresh greens and dirty golds assuring the wearer that these are timeless pieces that will continue to look great long after this summer is over.
Kellie Taylor’s Moochi followed with Wanderlust with its tribal inspired prints, red and black graphic patterns, and a good dose of crisp whites. This is only a snippet of a huge summer collection that I have seen with the label releasing mini collections all through the season keeping things fresh and interesting.
Lastly Taylor finished the evening with Vicki Taylor’s take on the monochromatic graphic with a collection titled Incision. Assured and structured, I always like the layered take of Taylor’s pieces. I am completely in love with the beaded “Equivalence Dress” this season with its touch of the magpie (beading). Also love the floor length textured “Punctuate Dress” which is a complete shop stopper.
