highnoontea – lover you should have come over wfw2013
Just every now and then a collection that is part of a group show is too good to be put in with the rest. highnoontea’s Lover You Should Have Come Over SS2013/4 was just such a collection for me. As part of WFW2013 they were showing in the Group Show – giving us a taste of new designers and their directions for SS2013/4. Designer Sheryl White is a smart cookie, with some time spent with very established label Deborah Sweeney. It definitely shows. Her work is assured and confident. She knows her target audience working with a black palette but adding in strong geometrics and black and white. I especially liked the coloured geometric prints, and that is saying something for me, being the lover of black that I am. Loved the styling with the clutches made of the fabric…
Possibly having two children of her own gives her a bit of an insight into the accommodations needed over time for women. Either way, her maturity shows in all the right ways. I am looking forward to seeing what else she comes up with…
