There is so much going on as we roll into AW2013 right now that I thought it would be wise to put it all together – all the best bits!
New Zealand Designer Teresa Hodges has designed a new range called BLAK LOVE to sit along side BLAK BASICS and BLAK LUXE. BLAK LOVE is made up of favorites from both the other lines already stocked though out New Zealand. What makes this new label so remarkable, is that it is being stocked at TOPSHOP in its own concession in their flagship store in Oxford Circus in London! And it is coming to a stockist near you, and especially to The Department Store as part of their Top-Up space. This space is a project curated by Stephen Marr and will sit along side TOPSHOP on the third floor of The Department Store.
The label is being launched there this coming Friday. The BLAK LOVE brand is made up of directional yet affordable pieces ranging from $99 – $249 and there will be several drops a year.
Joining BLAK LOVE at The Department Store, Top-Up space will be Chaos and Harmony and they too will be celebrating this coming Friday evening. With ankle boots featuring heavily this winter, my two favorites from Chaos and Harmony are the Gypsy and Wanderer. In black of course.
Also debuting at The Department Store is Kate Sylvester with her new AW2013. The new lookbook has a ‘photographed by David Bailey in New York a la Twiggy’ feel to it. Kate Sylvester opens on Saturday 23 March at The Department Store in Takapuna, Auckland.
Zambesi will be returning to Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Australia in Melbourne this year. They have a strong following in Australia, and will be the closing designer show on Friday 12 April, showing SS2013/14. Go knock their socks off!
And now the tiny people in your life (aged 2-7) can have fabulous shoes for that special occasion with Little Miss Wilson range. I love these gorgeous little two-tone brogues and am quite peeved that they do not come in adult sizes. Available from Kathryn Wilson and Miss Wilson stockists.
