Pretty much as soon as they opened at Britomart, the Karen Walker Playpark store had already won the Metro award for Best Selection of Imported Brands.  The new store has quite of few goodies as well with the Karen Walker range, and Hi There (as if that wouldn’t be enough), the new store also stocks summer-must-have Espadrilles from Riveria, dresses from 3.1 Phillip Lim and bags by Clare Vivier. The stunning Karen Walker Diamond collection is also there as well as her eyewear range. With the Auckland weather going from dour and wet, to warm and sunny just in time for the opening – it was a gorgeous evening. It was one of the best turned out crowds of the year (what a great way to end 2012) with lots of Karen Walker (current season and vintage) worn. Easily the most glamourous woman there was Karen herself wearing Karen Walker from her Sea Monsters range, Topshop shoes, Karen Walker Eyewear and an Yves Saint Laurent clutch. She looked stunning – and quite effortlessly so. The quintessential KW woman is of course Karen herself…
