the week that was #7

I am really unsure how the weeks slip by so quickly!  How does it happen that we are officially into Summer?  With daylight saving starting, our thoughts turn to gardening, a bit of spring cleaning and a lot more wardrobe organizing! It seems only fair that we can now start looking at all the fabulous summer footwear that will be coming our way soon, I have found it impossible to even think about uncovering my feet as it has just been too wet and dreary.  Here is hoping that we will get a lot more summery weather now. So I thought it was appropriate to start with Federation’s video with Garth Badger. Summer is now officially in-store at Federation.

From summer happiness to fashion sadness, Cybele will be closing her Auckland store that has been running for two fabulous years as she has had so much interest after NZFW this year – and it is all keeping her very busy.  She will be taking over the entire space behind the current storefront for three days on the 12,13,14th October and will have current stock, old stock, samples and all sorts available.  If you get the chance pop over to 62 Ponsonby Rd in the next 2 weeks and say hi.  Please note, Cybele will still be available on-line at cybele.co.nz and from all her stockists in New Zealand and Australia.

Things are brewing over at the BLOC 20 Normanby Rd Mt Eden – we are not entirely sure what, but we need to keep the evening of 18th October free between 5pm-8pm.  BLOC is home to Collected by LeeAnn Yare, World Beauty, Bo Concepts, Citta and Cool Food. Will let you know as more information as it comes to hand.

While we are talking about all things interiors, we are all very excited about the launch of the collaboration between Kate Sylvester and the wonderful Douglas & Bec.  It will be available from 5th October after the launch on Thursday evening at Kate Sylvester’s store in Britomart.

And it is nearly the 1st October – when everything goes pink. The New Zealand Breast Cancer Foundation gets busy over the month of October.  Dove have been working with the foundation, and have raised $300,000 through their annual fundraising in past years.  Again they are releasing their limited edition Dove Pink range, with $1 from every specially marked Dove Pink product sold through October being donated to the Breast Cancer Foundation.  I’d like to give away the entire range to someone this week, so I will be picking someone off Facebook randomly.  Good Luck!
